Man dies in A816 Kilninver crash
A 44 year-old man has died following a road crash on the A816 near to Kilninver on Wednesday 24 February 2010. Around 2pm the man was driving his Land Rover Defender on the A816 near Kilninver, when the vehicle was involved in a collision with a tanker lorry being driven by a 43-year-old man. Both men were taken to hospital in Oban but the 44-year-old died shortly after. The tanker driver was later released.

Two men die in Glencoe avalanche
The bodies of two men were recovered by Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team on Thursday evening, February 24, after being swept off a ridge near Buchaille Etive Mor and being carried almost 1,500 metres down the mountain. A third man escaped and walkers behind raised the alarm and trekked down the mountain checking the avalanche area until they found the bodies.
